2024 Walla Walla Sister City Project ⑥
Fun times keep flying by.
Yesterday, everyone took a bus to Nara, and today we only provided transportation while the group had quite a packed schedule. They harvested the seasonal black edamame from Tamba Sasayama, made Japanese character bento, visited a Tamba pottery kiln, and toured a swordsmith's workshop! They had a busy day!
After returning home, the guest surprised us by making basil sauce pasta, something he had mentioned since he arrived! He brought the sauce mix and special pasta all the way from the US, and picked up the other necessary ingredients on the way home.
Since it was a special dinner, we invited our second son and his girlfriend to join us. We enjoyed salad, pasta, wine, and delightful conversation. It was a truly wonderful dinner.
Only four days left. I hope we can enjoy the remaining time to the fullest!
