Spring is coming!

04/03/2024

On the first of March, Sasayama was covered in snow!
We thought winter was over, so it was a surprise for us!

However, Hinamatsuri is here and many Hina dolls are displayed in various spots in the Castle town area. In our garden, tulips are coming out of the ground, cherry buds are growing, and blueberry started having a sign of new buds, so definitely spring is coming!

Tamba Sasayama is known for the significant temperature difference between early morning, late evening, and daytime, which contributes to the excellent taste of black soybeans and other vegetables.

For example, the day starts at -4℃ and rises to 14℃ during the daytime, then drops back down to 3℃ in the evening. The following day, it starts around 1 or 2℃, and the temperature doesn't increase much, reaching around 7℃, and then drops back down to 2℃ in the evening, and so on.
It can be challenging to determine what kind of clothes to wear due to these fluctuations.

So when you come to Tamba Sasayama, we would suggest to bring something warm to wear for the night, and something light to wear for the day.
