The sister city project will start again this year!
This year, high school students and their chaperones from Walla Walla, Washington will be visiting for a short exchange program! 🥰
We participated for the first time last year, and it was truly amazing!
Time flies; it's already been a year since then…
You can find more details here!
Last year, we celebrated the 50th anniversary, so many adults participated, but this year we expect six high school students and two chaperones to come.
And guess what! There's even a high school student returning from last year! Isn't that wonderful? They're coming back! The host families must be eagerly waiting.
The family that stayed with us last year has grown, and I wonder if the parents were not part of the program? They mentioned that they would come again when adults outside the program could participate, so maybe in a few years.
Now, this year, a male chaperone will be staying with us. He is a veteran who has been involved in this project for 25 years and has visited Japan (and Sasayama) multiple times. There's been communication from Sasayama expressing a desire to meet him, and guests have also expressed interest in meeting certain people.
Isn't this great? 💖🌏
So, we are preparing to welcome our guests in just a few days. Last year, we brainstormed ideas for high school students, but this time we need different ideas.
This is really fun! 😆
