We started accepting Homestays!

14/04/2023

We started accepting guests for homestay.

I guess the reason for this is that all my children have left the nest.

"I wonder what we will do from now on...
What can we do as a couple 🤔."

When I thought about it, "homestay" suddenly came to mind.

Not an inn, not a hotel, not a B&B (in short, not just an accommodation).

I wanted to do homestay.

Decades ago I experienced my first homestay in the U.S. when I was young.✈️

The host families weren't even my family or relatives,
but they accepted me with open arms.

I made many discoveries while staying with those host families there.

I realized how little I knew about my own country.
I realized that there are people living at the same time period on the same planet Earth as me, yet in such different cultures.

Above all, I realized that we are all human beings.

Traveling abroad was not as common as it is now
and there were no mobile phone or the Internet back then.

"How could my parents let go and let me go?"

Having my own children,
and knowing how it feels to let go of my children,
I am once again thankful to my parents. 😊

Fortunately, we are an international marriage
and can handle both Japanese and non-Japanese.

I'm hoping that we can create a place where people can say,

"I want to come back to see you again."

Anyways,
I wonder what kind of people will be coming to our place...
I wonder what will happen...

I have mixed feelings of excitement and a little bit of anxiety.
Like starting a new adventure.

Hope to enjoy ourselves so that this can become someone's home away home. 😍🏡

To everyone we will meet in the future, welcome! 🤗
